Patrick "Paddy" George Considine is an acclaimed English actor, director, screenwriter, and musician, born on September 5, 1973, in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire. Known for his intense and nuanced performances, often portraying complex anti-heroes in independent films, Considine initially studied photography at the University of Brighton. It was there that he met and began his pivotal collaboration with director Shane Meadows, who cast him in his screen debut, A Room for Romeo Brass (1999).Considine's acting career quickly blossomed, leading to roles in critically praised films like Dead Man's Shoes (2004), which he also co-wrote, In America (2002), Cinderella Man (2005), My Summer of Love (2004), Hot Fuzz (2007), The Bourne Ultimatum (2007), and The Death of Stalin (2017). He has also made a significant impact on television, notably in the acclaimed Peaky Blinders, The Outsider, The Third Day, and his Emmy-winning performance in House of the Dragon as King Viserys I Targaryen.Beyond acting, Considine is a celebrated filmmaker himself.
