Pat Shortt is a highly successful and versatile Irish actor, comedian, writer, and entertainer, born on December 12, 1967, in Thurles, County Tipperary. After studying at the Limerick School of Art and Design, he quickly made his mark in the comedy scene. He first gained widespread fame as one half of the hugely popular comedy duo "D'Unbelievables" alongside Jon Kenny, with whom he toured extensively across Ireland, the UK, and the US, producing sell-out shows and chart-topping videos.Following the duo's hiatus, Shortt embarked on a successful solo career. He created and starred in the hit RTÉ comedy series Killinaskully (2003-2008), which regularly drew massive viewership, often exceeding half a million and even reaching over a million for Christmas specials. He also created and starred in another RTÉ comedy, Mattie.Beyond comedy, Pat Shortt has proven himself as an accomplished dramatic actor. His role as Josie in Lenny Abrahamson's critically acclaimed 2007 film Garage earned him numerous accolades, including the IFTA for Best Actor, an Evening Standard Award, and a Monte Carlo TV Festival award.
