Paul Sado is an Emmy and Grammy-nominated American writer, producer, and director, known for his versatile contributions to film and television. Born on February 17, 1978, in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Queens, Sado began his career as an actor, appearing in shows like "Law & Order" and films such as "Paper Soldiers." However, he later transitioned to focus primarily on writing and directing.His notable writing credits include the animated film "Leo" (2023), starring Adam Sandler and Bill Burr, which was a number one movie on Netflix. He also wrote and produced "Sandy Wexler" (2017), another Netflix hit, and co-wrote "The Cobbler" (2014), directed by two-time Academy Award winner Tom McCarthy and starring Adam Sandler, Dustin Hoffman, Steve Buscemi, and Ellen Barkin. More recently, he co-wrote the indie thriller "Electra" (2024), which premiered at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.Beyond his writing, Sado has produced, rewritten, and doctored scripts for various companies, including Netflix, Lakeshore Productions, and Sony Pictures.
