Paula Patton is an American actress and producer, born on December 5, 1975, in Los Angeles, California. Her interest in acting developed early, leading her to participate in high school plays and attend the University of Southern California's summer film program. She initially worked in documentary production for PBS and Howie Mandel's talk show, but her passion for performing eventually led her to pursue acting.Patton made her feature film debut with a small role in the romantic comedy Hitch (2005) alongside Will Smith. Her career gained momentum with significant roles in films such as Déjà Vu (2006) opposite Denzel Washington, the critically acclaimed drama Precious (2009) where she played Ms. Blu Rain, and the action spy thriller Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (2011), in which she starred as Jane Carter. She has continued to appear in a variety of genres, including Jumping the Broom (2011), 2 Guns (2013), and the fantasy film Warcraft (2016), where she portrayed Garona Halforcen. On television, she has had main roles in series like Somewhere Between (2017) and Sacrifice (2021).
