Paulyn Sun

Paulyn Sun (also known as Alien Sun or Pauline Suen, born Suen Kai-kwan on September 11, 1974) is a Hong Kong-based Singaporean actress and former beauty pageant titleholder. She launched her acting career in Hong Kong after representing Singapore in the Miss Universe 1994 pageant. Sun quickly gained recognition in the Hong Kong film industry, notably appearing in films such as Stephen Chow's Sixty Million Dollar Man (1995) and the critically acclaimed Island of Greed (1997), for which she received a Best Actress nomination at the Hong Kong Film Awards. She is also internationally recognized for her subtle, uncredited voice role as Mrs. Chow in Wong Kar-wai's iconic film In the Mood for Love (2000) and for her role in the controversial Japanese film Ichi the Killer (2001). After a hiatus from the industry, Sun returned to acting in the 2010s, appearing in films like Project Gutenberg (2018) and The Vanished Murderer (2015).
