Pawan Kalyan, born Konidela Kalyan Babu on September 2, 1971, is an Indian actor, filmmaker, martial artist, and politician who works primarily in Telugu cinema. He is the younger brother of renowned actor Chiranjeevi. Pawan Kalyan made his acting debut in the 1996 film Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi and quickly rose to stardom, earning the title "Power Star" from his fans. He is known for his distinct style and mannerisms, and a series of blockbuster hits like Tholi Prema (1998), Kushi (2001), Jalsa (2008), Gabbar Singh (2012), and Attarintiki Daredi (2013). He has been featured on Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list and is one of the highest-paid actors in Indian cinema.Beyond his acting career, Pawan Kalyan is a prominent political figure. He founded the Jana Sena Party (JSP) in 2014, and after a significant presence in politics, he currently serves as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, a position he assumed in June 2024. He is also the Minister of Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and Rural Water Supply, and Environment, Forest, Science and Technology.
