Pia Halvorsen

Pia Halvorsen is a Norwegian-Swedish actress born in Oslo in 1965. She is a graduate of the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts, completing her training in 1994 . Fluent in Norwegian, Swedish, and English, she has built a distinguished career in film, television, and theatre across Norway and Sweden. Halvorsen is best known for her role as Vilma Eikanger in the Norwegian medical drama Valkyrien (2017), where she portrays the wife of a surgeon who runs an illegal underground clinic to treat her terminal illness . She has also appeared in notable Swedish productions such as Real Humans (Äkta människor), Gåsmamman, and Fjällbackamorden, as well as the Norwegian series Beck . In 2021, Halvorsen received critical acclaim for her performance in the Norwegian drama Den störste förbrytelsen, earning a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the Amandaprisen, Norway’s most prestigious film award. Currently based in Stockholm, Halvorsen is represented by Diamanda Management and remains active in both Norwegian and Swedish entertainment industries .
