Philippa "Pippa" Elaine Fanti Bennett-Warner is a British actress, born on July 23, 1988, in Banbury, Oxfordshire, of Jamaican and Kittitian descent. Her career began as a child actress, playing young Nala in the original 1999 West End production of The Lion King. She is a classically trained actress who was accepted into the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), graduating in 2010. Throughout her career, she has garnered significant acclaim for her stage work, including WhatsOnStage and Ian Charleson Award nominations for Caroline, or Change (2006) and King Lear (2010), respectively, and an Evening Standard Theatre Award nomination for her leading role in The Witness (2012).On screen, Bennett-Warner is widely known for her starring roles in several high-profile television dramas. Her major credits include the role of Shannon Dumani in the Sky Atlantic crime series Gangs of London (2020–present), Harriet Lennox in the Hulu/ITV period drama Harlots (2016–2019), Rochelle Madeley in the BBC thriller Roadkill (2020), and Livia in the BBC thriller Chloe (2022). She also appeared in the miniseries Obsession (2023) and has had roles in series such as Sick Note, River, and a guest role in Doctor Who ("Time Heist"). Her film appearances include The Foreigner (2017), Johnny English Strikes Again (2018), and See How They Run (2022).
