Poppy Gabriella Drayton is a British actress born on June 7, 1991, in Surrey, England, who trained at the Arts Educational School in Chiswick. She established herself in the fantasy genre by landing the starring role of Amberle Elessedil in the MTV fantasy drama series The Shannara Chronicles (2016–2017). Drayton's television career also includes the role of Abigael Jameson-Caine in the second and third seasons of The CW's fantasy drama Charmed (2019–2022), an early role as Elizabeth Thatcher in the Hallmark Channel pilot for When Calls the Heart, and an appearance in the 2013 Christmas special of Downton Abbey. On the film side, her credits feature the lead role of Elizabeth in the 2018 adaptation of The Little Mermaid, the historical action film The Rising Hawk, and the recent Netflix Christmas movie, Jingle Bell Heist (2025), in which she plays Brianna. Drayton also has theatre experience, including a stage role in The Green Bay Tree at the Jermyn Street Theatre in London.
