Q'orianka Kilcher is an American actress, singer, and activist, born on February 11, 1990, in Schweigmatt, Germany. Her name "Q'orianka" means "Golden Eagle" in Quechua. Her father is of Quechua-Huachipaeri descent from Peru, and her mother, Saskia Kilcher, is of Swiss German origin. When Kilcher was two, she and her mother moved to Hawaii, where she began hula dancing at age five.She began her acting career at a young age, with her first film role as a choir member in Ron Howard's "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (2000). She gained significant recognition for her breakout role as Pocahontas in Terrence Malick's "The New World" (2005), which earned her critical acclaim and awards such as the National Board of Review's Best Breakthrough Performance of 2006.Kilcher has starred in various films and television series, including the title role in "Princess Kaiulani" (2009), a recurring role as Kerrianne Telford in "Sons of Anarchy" (2010), and as Aaya in "Neverland" (2011). She has also appeared in "The Power of Few" (2013), "Hostiles" (2017), "The Alienist" (2018), "Dora and the Lost City of Gold" (2019), "Color Out of Space" (2019), and "Dog" (2022). She had a recurring role as Angela Blue Thunder in the Paramount Network show "Yellowstone" (2020).
