Born on November 29, 1986, in Cần Thơ, Võ Quốc Huy (known professionally as Quốc Huy) is a highly regarded Vietnamese actor and model celebrated for his masculine appearance and versatile acting skills. A graduate of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Cinema, he first rose to prominence in 2006 as a freshman when he was cast as "Hoàng lãng tử" in the popular television series Ngũ quái Sài Gòn. Over nearly two decades in the industry, his sharp features and brooding screen presence have earned him nicknames from fans like "the Vietnamese Bosco Wong" or "the Vietnamese Jang Dong Gun," as he has successfully balanced roles in mainstream television dramas and high-budget cinematic features. Quốc Huy’s career is defined by a consistent presence in hit television series, including notable performances in Tiếng sét trong mưa (2019), Vua bánh mì (the Vietnamese adaptation of King of Baking, Kim Takgu), and Hành trình công lý (2022). His ability to portray complex, emotionally driven characters led to his significant casting in Victor Vu’s 2023 film The Last Wife (Người Vợ Cuối Cùng), where he played the role of Detective Kiên. His performance was so well-received that Victor Vu cast him again to lead a spin-off/sequel project centered entirely on his character, titled Thám Tử Kiên, which further explored the investigative and mystery elements of the 19th-century setting.
