Ra Vincent is an acclaimed New Zealand production designer, set decorator, and artist, best known for his work in major feature films. Of Māori descent (Te Atiawa iwi), his career is marked by a distinctive blend of hands-on sculpting and large-scale film design.He is a frequent collaborator with director Taika Waititi, serving as the Production Designer on films like Thor: Ragnarok (2017), the Oscar-nominated Jojo Rabbit (2019), Next Goal Wins (2023), and the original film and FX series of What We Do in the Shadows.Vincent's career began in the art department as a sculptor on The Lord of the Rings trilogy. He went on to receive an Academy Award nomination for Best Production Design for his work as a set decorator on The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012) and a second nomination for his Production Design on Jojo Rabbit. His television credits also include production design on the HBO Max series Our Flag Means Death and the TV adaptation of What We Do in the Shadows.
