Rafael Petardi (born in Montreal, Quebec) is a versatile Canadian-American actor and polyglot whose career spans over three decades across film, television, and voice acting. A dual citizen of Canada and the United States, Petardi grew up in a multilingual environment, becoming fluent in English, French, Italian, and Spanish, while also possessing working knowledge of Russian and Mandarin. He first gained prominence in the Canadian television scene in the 1990s with roles in series like Watatatow and the acclaimed Québécois mini-series 10-07: L'affaire Kafka. His career reached new heights with three Gemini Award nominations for his role as "Shit Pants" in the comedy series Rent-a-Goalie. Known for his ability to portray intense, physically imposing characters and sophisticated internationals, he has become a frequent collaborator in high-budget productions, often utilizing his linguistic skills to bring authenticity to global narratives. In recent years, Petardi has become a familiar face in major Hollywood productions, most notably as Security Chief Ricci in the Netflix blockbuster Red Notice (2021), where he commanded the screen alongside Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds.
