Ramón Llao

Born on June 5, 1968, in Santiago, Chile, Ramón Eduardo Llao Andrade is a highly prolific Chilean actor and television presenter whose career spans over three decades across theater, film, and television. A graduate of the School of Theater at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Llao first made his mark in the 1980s with a role in the legendary Chilean play La negra Ester. He became a recognizable face on Chilean television through his work in popular telenovelas and series such as Romané, Pampa Ilusión, and the Chilean adaptation of Los Simuladores (2005), where he played the logistical expert Pablo Lorca. Known for his versatility, he has moved seamlessly between comedy and drama, often appearing in the works of director Nicolás López, most notably as Rafael Pérez in the hit film trilogy Qué pena tu vida (2010), Qué pena tu boda (2011), and Qué pena tu familia (2012). To international audiences, Llao is most famous for his roles in high-profile horror and thriller collaborations with Eli Roth and Nicolás López. In The Green Inferno (2013), he portrayed the menacing and silent Bald Headhunter, a prominent member of the cannibal tribe who oversees the capture and processing of the activists. This role followed his appearance in the disaster film Aftershock (2012), where he played a character named Ramón. His extensive filmography also includes notable Chilean films such as Sex with Love (2003), Sin Filtro (2016), and No estoy loca (2018). In addition to acting, Llao served as the host of the historical travel show Entrecomunas (2007–2009) and continues to be a central figure in the Santiago arts scene, with recent credits including the 2024 film Perra vida.
