Rana Daggubati

Rana Daggubati (born Ramanaidu Daggubati on December 14, 1984, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu) is a prominent Indian actor, producer, visual effects coordinator, and entrepreneur, known for his work primarily in Telugu cinema, alongside notable roles in Hindi and Tamil films. Hailing from the influential Daggubati–Akkineni film family—his father, D. Suresh Babu, is a major producer, and his uncle is actor Venkatesh—Rana initially ventured into the industry behind the scenes, winning a National Film Award in 2006 for co-producing the children's film Bommalata. He made a successful acting debut in 2010 with the Telugu political drama Leader. However, his career was irrevocably defined by his menacing and physically intense portrayal of the main antagonist, Bhallaladeva, the jealous cousin of Baahubali, in S. S. Rajamouli's epic blockbusters, Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017). This role transformed him into a globally recognized pan-Indian star. Beyond the Baahubali franchise, he has delivered critically acclaimed performances in films like the war drama Ghazi (2017) and the political thriller Nene Raju Nene Mantri (2017). A true polymath, he also co-owns production houses, invests in ventures like the comic book company Amar Chitra Katha, and hosts the popular celebrity talk show No. 1 Yaari with Rana. In his personal life, he is married to entrepreneur Miheeka Bajaj, whom he wed in August 2020.
