Randa Newman

Randa Newman is an actress, producer, and genetic counselor based in Nashville, Tennessee. Born in Seoul, South Korea, she was adopted at three months old by a family from Eastern Kentucky. After experiencing personal tragedies, she pursued a biology degree at Pikeville College and later a master's degree in medical genetics from the University of Cincinnati. She worked as a genetic counselor at Vanderbilt University before discovering a passion for acting as a therapeutic outlet. Her acting career took off, and she has since appeared in television shows such as NBC's Young Rock and The CW's Walker, as well as the 2024 film Sketch starring Tony Hale.In addition to her acting work, Newman is also a producer and co-founder of the narrative film production company Ranch Vovo and Typecast Pictures, a company dedicated to redefining how underrepresented voices are seen through film and television. Her producer credits include music videos and narrative projects, and she is also a director. Newman continues to work in the biotech industry, bridging her two passions for science and art.
