Rebecca O'Mara

Rebecca O'Mara is an Irish actress and voice artist known for her extensive work in theatre, television, and film. Born in Sandycove, Dublin, she trained at the prestigious London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) after graduating with a degree in Drama and Theatre from Trinity College Dublin. She is perhaps most recognized by audiences for her role as scene of crime officer Frankie Hynes in the Irish television series Red Rock, and for guest-starring in UK dramas like Line of Duty and the soap opera Doctors. Her theatre career is highly successful, notably winning the Irish Times Theatre Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in 2019 for her performance in the Druid Theatre production of Furniture.In film, she has appeared in director Ken Loach's movie Jimmy's Hall (2014) and the Phyllida Lloyd-directed film Herself (2020). She is also widely known for her voice work, particularly as the voice of the fast engine Caitlin in the popular children's animated series Thomas & Friends. More recently, O'Mara has appeared in the 2025 thriller film Anniversary, directed by Jan Komasa, where she plays the role of the Enumerator. She is the younger sister of the actor Jason O'Mara.
