Rhona Rees
Rhona Rees is an award-winning Australian-Canadian actress, voice performer, writer, and director with over 25 years of experience in the entertainment industry. Originally from Melbourne, Victoria, she began her career as a child actor at age 11, appearing in Australian series such as Rainbow’s End, Ocean Girl, and Neighbours. After moving to Vancouver, British Columbia, in 2012, she successfully transitioned into the North American market, becoming a prominent figure in animation and video games. She is widely recognized for her voice work as Vapor Trail in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Nyx in The Dragon Prince, and Jet Jack in Ninjago. In the 2025/2026 animated feature Charlie the Wonderdog, she portrays the Alien Queen, the mother of the spoiled prince who abducts Charlie and inadvertently grants him superpowers. Beyond acting, Rees is an accomplished filmmaker and advocate for women in the arts. She wrote, executive produced, and starred in the award-winning sci-fi short film FREYA, which earned critical acclaim at international festivals and is currently being developed into a feature-length project. Her directorial debut, the short film Call Button, was a top contender in the 2021 Crazy8s film competition. A Leo Award and Voice Arts Award nominee, she also serves as a voice director for major brands like Mattel and Nintendo and is a mentor through "Mistressclass," a webinar series she co-created to support gender-diverse professionals in film.
