Richard Harmon is a Canadian actor born on August 18, 1991, in Mississauga, Ontario. He is the son of director Allan Harmon and producer Cynde Harmon, and the brother of actress Jessica Harmon. Despite his family's involvement in the entertainment industry, Richard has emphasized his desire to establish his own identity in the field.. Harmon's acting career began at age 12 with a role in the TV series Jeremiah. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Jasper Ames in The Killing (2011–2012) and Julian Randol in Continuum (2012–2015). However, he is perhaps best known for his role as John Murphy in The 100 (2014–2020), where he transitioned from a recurring character in the first two seasons to a main cast member in the subsequent seasons.
