Rick Gonzalez is an American actor born on June 30, 1979, in New York City. Raised in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn by parents of Dominican and Puerto Rican descent, he showed an early interest in performing. Encouraged by his teachers, he attended the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts, graduating in 1997.Gonzalez began his acting career with small roles in New York before moving to Los Angeles. He gained recognition for his roles in films such as "Coach Carter" (2005) as Timo Cruz, "Old School" (2003) as Spanish, and "Roll Bounce" (2005) as Naps. On television, he is well-known for his role as Ben Gonzalez in the CW supernatural drama series "Reaper" (2007-2009) and as the superhero vigilante Rene Ramirez / Wild Dog in the CW series "Arrow" (2016-2020). His extensive TV credits also include guest appearances in "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "CSI: Miami," and "Castle," among many others. Most recently, he is slated to appear in the animated film "Predator: Killer of Killers" (2025).
