He graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics and later trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Ahmed first gained recognition in independent films such as "The Road to Guantanamo," "Shifty," "Four Lions," and "The Reluctant Fundamentalist." His breakthrough role came in 2014 with "Nightcrawler," leading to parts in Hollywood blockbusters like "Jason Bourne" and "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story." He received widespread acclaim for his role in the HBO miniseries "The Night Of" (2016), winning a Primetime Emmy Award, making him the first Muslim man to win an acting Emmy.
