Rob Carlton is a Logie Award-winning Australian actor and writer, born on May 4, 1971. He began his professional acting career at the age of 14, appearing in numerous television series such as "Young Ramsay," "A Country Practice," "Home and Away," "Blue Heelers," "Water Rats," "Fireflies," "McLeod's Daughters," and "All Saints." He also gained early film experience in "The Year My Voice Broke" and "Joe Wilson." Carlton trained with the Australian Theatre for Young People in Sydney and studied English and Australian Literature at the University of Sydney, where he was also a champion debater and public speaker. He is perhaps best known for creating, writing, and starring in the comedy series "Chandon Pictures," which earned him an Australian Writers Guild Award for Best Narrative Comedy. His critically acclaimed portrayal of Kerry Packer in "Paper Giants: The Birth of Cleo" and "Paper Giants: Magazine Wars" garnered him a Silver Logie Award for Most Outstanding Actor. In 2006, he won Tropfest for his short film "Carmichael & Shane," which he wrote, starred in, co-directed, and co-produced, also taking home the Best Actor award at the festival. Beyond acting, writing, and directing, Carlton is a professional speaker, master of ceremonies, and facilitator. He is married to author Adrienne Ferreira and they have twin sons, Jim and Leo.
