Robert "Rob" William Corddry is an American actor, comedian, and writer, born on February 4, 1971, in Weymouth, Massachusetts. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, he moved to New York City and began his career in theater, including a tour with the National Shakespeare Company. He also trained in improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.Corddry rose to prominence as a correspondent on the satirical news program The Daily Show with Jon Stewart from 2002 to 2006, where his persona as a "smarmy, inept correspondent" endeared him to audiences. Following his time on The Daily Show, he created, wrote, directed, and starred in the Adult Swim series Childrens Hospital, a parody of medical dramas, which earned him four Primetime Emmy Awards.In film, he is widely known for his leading role as Lou in the 2010 comedy Hot Tub Time Machine and its 2015 sequel. He has also appeared in a variety of other films, including Old School (2003), Blades of Glory (2007), What Happens in Vegas (2008), Warm Bodies (2013), and the 2025 film Waltzing with Brando. His television work also includes a main role on the HBO series Ballers and the CBS comedy The Unicorn. He is the older brother of actor Nate Corddry.
