Robert Anthony Plant (born August 20, 1948, in West Bromwich, England) is a renowned English singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist and lyricist for the legendary rock band Led Zeppelin. His powerful, wide-ranging voice and charismatic stage presence have made him one of the most influential figures in rock music. Plant's musical journey began in his teens with local blues bands, including Band of Joy, which he formed with future Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham. In 1968, he joined guitarist Jimmy Page to form Led Zeppelin, a band that would revolutionize rock music with their fusion of blues, hard rock, and folk influences.
