Rohitashv Gour
Rohitashv Gour is a veteran Indian actor primarily celebrated for his work in Hindi television sitcoms, particularly for his versatile comedic portrayals. Born on March 24, 1966, he is an alumnus of the prestigious National School of Drama (NSD) in New Delhi, graduating in 1989, which laid the foundation for his extensive career in theatre, film, and television that spans over three decades. Gour achieved significant recognition for his lead role as Mukundilal Gupta in the popular SAB TV sitcom Lapataganj (2009–2014), which adapted the stories of humorist Sharad Joshi. He gained immense widespread fame and critical acclaim for his ongoing role as Manmohan Tiwari—a bumbling yet endearing undergarments businessman—in the long-running comedy series Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! (2015–present), a performance for which he has won several awards, including the ITA Award for Best Actor - Comedy. Beyond television, he has appeared in numerous Hindi films, often in memorable supporting roles, such as the coconut water vendor in Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. (2003), Cuckoo in Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006), a terrorist in the thriller A Wednesday! (2008), a bank manager in Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge? (2010), and Police Inspector Pandey in PK (2014). His latest film appearance is in Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki (2023) and he is also set to appear in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari (2025).
