Rolando Ravello

Rolando Ravello is a highly active Italian actor, director, and screenwriter. Born in Rome on June 4, 1969, he began his career in the late 1980s, co-hosting the children's variety show Big on RAI. After theatrical training, he made his cinematic breakout in 1995 with a leading role in Ettore Scola's film Romanzo di un giovane povero. Throughout the 2000s and 2010s, Ravello maintained a prolific acting career in Italian film and television, featuring in notable works such as Unfair Competition (2001), Diaz – Don't Clean Up This Blood (2012), and Balancing Act (2012).Beyond acting, Ravello has gained significant recognition for his work behind the camera. He made his feature film directorial debut with the comedy Tutti contro tutti (2013), which earned a nomination for a Nastro d'Argento for Best Comedy Film. He also directed Do You Remember Me? (2014) and La Prima Pietra (2018). Furthermore, he is an accomplished screenwriter, most notably receiving a David di Donatello for Best Screenplay for his work on the internationally successful film Perfect Strangers (2016).
