Ryu Seung-su is a South Korean actor. He was born on August 12, 1971. He made his acting debut in 1997 with a minor role in Park Chan-wook's film Trio and has since become a well-known supporting actor in both film and television. He is recognized for his versatility, playing a wide range of characters from comedic to serious.His most notable film roles include the 2008 Western film The Good, the Bad, the Weird, the 2011 war film The Front Line, and the 2022 comedy 6/45. In television, he is widely known for his role in the 2002 melodrama Winter Sonata, which was highly popular across Asia, and more recently, for his performances in the series The Chaser and Empire of Gold. He has also had a variety of roles in television and films since 2024, including a role in the 2025 TV series Hunter With a Scalpel.In addition to his acting, he published a memoir in 2009 titled Don't Be an Actor Like Me. He has been married to Yoon Hye-won since 2015, and they have two children.
