Safia Oakley-Green

Safia Grace Oakley-Green is an emerging English actress, born in Southwark, London, in June 2001, and raised in Derbyshire. She received her acting training at The Television Workshop in Nottingham. Oakley-Green quickly gained critical acclaim for her breakout role as Beyah in the 2022 prehistoric horror film, Out of Darkness (originally titled The Origin), a performance that earned her the British Independent Film Award for Breakthrough Performance in 2022 and the BAFTA Scotland Award for Actress in Film in 2024. Her career began with appearances in short films, and her feature film debut came in 2021 with the biopic The Colour Room. On television, she has been featured in the BBC crime drama Sherwood, played a recurring role as Andy in the Disney+ comedy Extraordinary (2023), and appeared in the second series of The Lazarus Project and the Paramount+ series The Burning Girls. Recognized as a Screen International Star of Tomorrow in 2023, she has several major projects in development, including a lead role in the Amazon feature The Bluff opposite Priyanka Chopra and Karl Urban, and roles in upcoming films Anemone and 100 Nights of Hero.
