Sam Woolf

Alexander Samuel Woolf, known professionally as Sam Woolf, was born on June 20, 1992, in the United Kingdom to a British family with Russian Jewish ancestry. He has two brothers, Nicky and Simon, and grew up in a creative environment that fostered his interest in the arts. Woolf pursued formal acting training at the prestigious Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, which laid the groundwork for his transition into professional theater and screen acting.​Woolf has built a diverse portfolio across television, voice acting, and theater. He gained initial recognition for his role as Artie in Call the Midwife and later portrayed Prince Edward in Season 5 of the acclaimed Netflix series The Crown. In the fantasy genre, he is well-known for voicing Rience in the third season of Netflix’s The Witcher. In 2024, he took on a prominent role as Adam Eichenwald, the love interest of Joey King's character, in Hulu's World War II drama We Were the Lucky Ones. His other credits include Humans, C.B. Strike, and the upcoming film Extraction (2026).​
