Samer Salem

Samer Salem is a Canadian actor whose parents immigrated to Canada from Lebanon. Despite initially pursuing a career in medicine, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Calgary, he decided to follow his passion for acting. He made the leap, moving to Vancouver to take acting classes and persistently worked graveyard shifts as a nurse for five years while attending auditions.Salem has since built a significant body of work across film and television. He gained notable recognition for his role as Josep in the critically acclaimed sixth and final season of the sci-fi series The Expanse on Amazon Prime. His diverse filmography includes appearances in various popular series such as The Handmaid's Tale, The Good Doctor, The Boys (where he played the formidable villain Naqib), Yellowjackets, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, NCIS, and Hudson & Rex. In film, he appeared in the queer romantic comedy My Fake Boyfriend (2022) and the 2024 comedy-thriller F** Marry Kill* as Norman. He also has upcoming roles in projects like Allegiance (2024), where he joins as Detective Corporal Zak Kalaini, and the 2025 series UNTAMED.
