Samuel Bottomley (born June 14, 2001, in Bradford, West Yorkshire) is an acclaimed English actor whose career began at nine with a stunning debut in Paddy Considine’s Tyrannosaur (2011). He gained recognition on CBBC’s Rocket’s Island before delivering powerful performances in Channel 4’s Ackley Bridge (2017–18), the feature film Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (2021), and the Channel 5 drama The Teacher . His role as Aaron in Somewhere Boy (2022) earned him a BAFTA TV Award nomination, followed by a BIFA nomination for his portrayal of Paddy in How to Have Sex (2023). In 2025, he expanded his filmography in The Last Rifleman alongside Pierce Brosnan and has been cast in the upcoming Daniel Day‑Lewis–helmed drama Anemone.Committed to nurturing emerging talent, Bottomley founded the West Yorkshire Workshop in 2025 to support working‑class performers in Bradford.
