Sasha Calle is a Colombian-American actress born on August 7, 1995, in Boston, Massachusetts. She is best known for portraying Supergirl (Kara Zor-El) in the DC Extended Universe film The Flash (2023), making history as the first Latina actress to take on the role. Raised in Boston, Calle moved to Colombia at age 10 before returning to the U.S. two years later. At 17, she relocated from Miami to Los Angeles to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2017. Calle's breakout role came in 2018 when she joined the cast of the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless as chef Lola Rosales. Her performance earned her a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Younger Performer in a Drama Series in 2020 .
