Savannah Lee Smith (born July 27, 2000) is an American actress who rose to prominence with her breakout role as the ambitious, cunning, and fashion-forward student Monet de Haan in the HBO Max reboot of the teen drama series Gossip Girl (2021–2023). Born and raised in Los Angeles, Smith is the only child of a singer-songwriter mother and a writer-film producer father. She discovered her passion for acting in high school and later moved to New York City to study drama at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Smith's on-screen career launched while she was still an undergraduate, and she is known for emphasizing the importance of diverse representation through her roles as a Black, bisexual woman. Following her success in Gossip Girl, she took on the role of Annie Grover in the Prime Video limited series Cruel Intentions (2024), a modern adaptation of the 1999 film. Her film credits include the mystery comedy Murder at the Murder Mystery Party (2023) and the television film Drunk, Driving, and 17 (2023). Smith has also wrapped production on the coming-of-age comedy The Upside of Unrequited and has a role in the 2025 Christmas film Tinsel Town.
