He hails from a family deeply rooted in the Indian entertainment industry; he is the son of renowned Indian wrestler and actor Randhawa (Sardara Singh Randhawa) and Malika, who is the sister of veteran actress Mumtaz.Shaad made his Bollywood debut in 2006 with Mohit Suri's film Woh Lamhe, where he played the role of Nikhil Rai. He quickly became a familiar face in supporting roles, often collaborating with director Mohit Suri, appearing in films like Awarapan (2007) and the highly successful Aashiqui 2 (2013), where his performance was well-received.
