Shamshuddin Ibrahim, known professionally as Shaam, is an Indian actor and model who primarily works in Tamil and Telugu cinema, with appearances in a few Kannada and Malayalam films as well. Born on April 4, 1977, in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, he was raised in Bengaluru where he completed his studies. He began his career as a professional model before making his acting debut.Shaam's first major role was in the 2001 Tamil film 12B, directed by Jeeva, which was critically well-received. He went on to star in several other notable films, including Lesa Lesa (2003), Iyarkai (2003), and Ullam Ketkumae (2005). He gained significant recognition and earned the nickname "Kick Shaam" after his acclaimed performance in the 2009 Telugu film Kick. This success helped him establish a strong presence in the Telugu film industry, leading to roles in movies like Race Gurram (2014). He has also been a part of recent successful films like the 2023 blockbuster Varisu. He is married to Kashish and they have two children.
