Shane T Harris
Shane Harris, born in Wareham, Massachusetts, spent his formative years on Onset Beach. Later, as a teenager, he moved to Marion, MA, where he attended Old Rochester High School and was part of the 1993 Super Bowl Hall of Fame football team. Shane continued his athletic journey by playing college football before earning a BA in Sociology/Criminal Justice from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. During his college years, he excelled as an athlete, earning All-Conference honors in football.
After college, Shane embarked on a career in law enforcement starting with UMass Public Safety and then New Bedford Police Department. Over his 23-year tenure in law enforcement, Shane served in various roles such as a Correctional Officer, Patrol Officer, School Resource Officer, S.W.A.T Team Operator and Tactical instructor. In 2013, Shane received a citation from the New Bedford City Council, honoring him for his role in assisting other Municipal, State, and Federal Law Enforcement agencies in the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombing. In 2021, The National Association of School Resource Officer recognized Shane with the prestigious Regional Exceptional Service Award for the New England Region.
Despite his demanding profession, he maintained his competitive edge, playing semi-professional football. “Shane won three New England Football League Championships, one with the Boston Bandits and then returned home to win two more for his city of New Bedford, with The Whaling City Clippers. Seeking further challenges after retiring from football, Shane drew upon his martial arts background, joining the New England Amateur Kickboxing league and fighting for the Wisher Kickboxing team.
Shane now plans to leverage his athletics background and his years of police and tactical experience in the acting industry. Beginning his acting journey in his 40s, Shane started as an extra in the Disney movie ‘GodMothered’ and Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody.” Since then, Shane has secured several featured roles in TV and film, including the Starz TV series ‘HighTown,’ HBO series ‘Pause with Sam Jay,’ and movies such as ‘The Boston Strangler,’ ‘Good Burger 2,’ and ‘The Instigators.’
