Shari Albert is an American actress, writer, and director, known for her work in independent films and television. Born on July 9, 1971, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she is an alumna of New York University. Albert's career gained early recognition for her role as Susan in the critically acclaimed 1995 independent film The Brothers McMullen, which was written and directed by Edward Burns, a frequent collaborator. She appeared in several other Edward Burns films, including No Looking Back (1998), Looking for Kitty (2004), and The Groomsmen (2006).In addition to her film work, she has appeared in television series such as Teen Angel, Weird Loners, and had guest spots on shows like The King of Queens, Ugly Betty, Law & Order, and the recent comedy series Girls5eva. More recently, she has been credited for her work on The Featherweight (2023). Beyond acting, Albert has expanded her career to include screenwriting and directing, including the 2020 project Will You Take This Dog? and a feature script she has been developing.
