Shaun Thomas
Shaun Thomas (born 30 May 1997, Bradford, England) is a British actor celebrated for his naturalistic performances and emotionally rich character portrayals. He began his career at age 15, cast as Swifty in Clio Barnard's feature The Selfish Giant (2013), earning the London Film Festival Best British Newcomer Award and nominations for BIFA Most Promising Newcomer and London Critics Circle Young British Performer . Following this early acclaim, Thomas built his résumé with roles in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and Grimsby (both 2016), then went on to portray Callum in Ali & Ava (2021). He also appeared in acclaimed TV projects such as BBC’s Ladhood, Four Lives, The Long Shadow, and Emmerdale. Thomas gained significant recognition in 2023 for his portrayal of Badger in Molly Manning Walker’s How to Have Sex (2023). His performance earned him the British Independent Film Award (BIFA) for Best Supporting Actor. In interviews, he’s shared insights into bringing depth to Badger—a "funny, flirtatious northerner"—balancing charisma, immaturity, and empathy, and the responsibility he felt addressing the film’s themes of consent. Looking ahead, Thomas was recently cast as Ser Raymun Fossoway in HBO’s A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms—a Game of Thrones prequel due in 2025.
