Shawn Ashmore

Shawn Robert Ashmore (born October 7, 1979) is a Canadian actor. He was born in Richmond, British Columbia, and is the identical twin brother of actor Aaron Ashmore. Shawn began acting at a young age and gained recognition for his roles in the television series Animorphs and the X-Men film series, where he played Bobby Drake / Iceman.Throughout his career, Ashmore has appeared in numerous films and television shows, showcasing his versatility as an actor. Some of his notable film credits include The Ruins, Frozen, The Day, and the recent horror film It Feeds (2025), where he plays Randall Harris. In television, he is known for his roles as Agent Mike Weston in the drama series The Following and currently as Wesley Evers in the popular ABC series The Rookie. He also voiced the character of Iceman in the animated series The Super Hero Squad Show.Ashmore has received several accolades for his work, including an MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance for X2: X-Men United and a Leo Award for Best Lead Performance by a Male in a Feature Length Drama for Earthsea. He has also been nominated for Gemini Awards for his performances in television films. Beyond acting, Shawn is fluent in French and enjoys playing guitar and snowboarding. He married Dana Renee Wasdin in 2012, and they have one child.
