Shawn Hatosy
Shawn Wayne Hatosy (born December 29, 1975) is an American actor and director celebrated for his intense and nuanced character work across both film and television. He launched his career in the late 1990s with roles in films like In & Out (1997), The Faculty (1998), Outside Providence (1999), and Alpha Dog (2006), often portraying complex, sometimes volatile, young men. However, his most acclaimed work has been in television, marked by a successful collaboration with producer John Wells. Hatosy starred as the troubled Detective Sammy Bryant in the critically lauded police drama Southland (2009–2013), earning him a Critics' Choice Award nomination. He is perhaps most famous for his powerful performance as the psychologically scarred eldest son, Andrew "Pope" Cody, in the TNT crime drama series Animal Kingdom (2016–2022), a role he also directed four episodes for. More recently, he earned a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Dr. Jack Abbot in The Pitt (2025). Hatosy is slated to appear as Titus Danforth in the upcoming horror-comedy sequel, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come (2026).
