His acting journey began early, even being discovered by a Gemini award-winning screenwriter, Robert Forsythe, after a school play where he portrayed the wolf in "Little Red Riding Hood." This early encouragement led him to a high-profile Toronto acting agency and his first television appearance in "Sirens" in 1994.Roberts gained a more prominent role as Teddy Kent in the TV series "Emily of New Moon," which aired in 1998. This opened doors to more opportunities, including guest appearances on shows like "La Femme Nikita," "The Famous Jett Jackson," and "Twice in a Lifetime."
