Shilpa Shukla is an Indian film and theatre actress. Born on February 22, 1982, in the Vaishali district of Bihar, she comes from a family of bureaucrats, political leaders, and scholars. She began her acting career in theatre, working with directors like M. K. Raina and Arvind Gaur.Shukla made her film debut in the 2003 film Khamosh Pani. She is widely known for her role as Bindia Naik in the 2007 sports drama Chak De! India, which earned her a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. In 2013, she starred in the neo-noir film B.A. Pass, for which she won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress. Her filmography includes a variety of roles in movies like Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, Frozen, and Bombairiya, as well as television and web series such as Mentalhood and Criminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors.
