Sira-Anna Faal
Sira‑Anna Faal (born 2000) is a German‑Gambian actress, singer, and rapper who rose to prominence in the 2020s. She made her acting debut in 2020 with the ZDF youth series Druck, portraying Fatou Jallow—a character whose popularity led her to become the lead in Season 6 and helped her ensemble earn the German Acting Award in 2021 . In 2022, she featured in the fantasy film The Ordinaries as Hannah Cooper, and later appeared in series like Becoming Charlie (2022), Like a Loser (2023), SOKO Leipzig (2023), and the TV film Jonja (2023). Beyond acting, Sira-Anna has established herself in music. Under the stage name “Sira,” she released her first single “Koma” in 2021, followed by her debut EP Noema in 2022 and the EP HyperAktiv in 2023. She has collaborated on tracks like “Phase” with 01099’s Xaver and Gustav. In 2024, she took on the lead role in Disney+’s supernatural miniseries Pauline, earning nominations at both the German Television Award and the Bavarian Television Award for Best Actress. Her cinematic journey continued with roles in Berlin Nobody and the queer coming-of-age film Die feige Schönheit. Most recently, she appears in Netflix’s 2025 sci-fi thriller Brick.
