Sizo Mahlangu

Sizo Mahlangu is a South African actor, dancer, and performance artist based in Johannesburg. Born in 1993 in the United States, he relocated to Johannesburg with his family at the age of one. He pursued his studies in musical theatre, dance, and drama at The Waterfront Theatre School in Cape Town, graduating in 2015 . Mahlangu's acting career encompasses film, television, and theatre. He portrayed Obi in the fourth season of the TV series Black Sails and played Eugene in National Geographic's original TV series Origins: The History of Mankind . In theatre, he starred as Othello in The Galloway Theatre's production of Othello . In 2023, Mahlangu joined the cast of the American martial arts crime drama series Warrior, based on an original concept by Bruce Lee. Set during the Tong Wars in the late 1870s in San Francisco, he plays Isaac, the ruthless lieutenant and right-hand man to "Happy Jack," the African American leader of a drug trafficking ring . Beyond acting, Mahlangu has captivated audiences through his poetry and performance art, exploring the psychology of the performative identity .
