Sky du Mont

Sky du Mont, born Cayetano Neven du Mont on May 20, 1947, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is a distinguished German-Argentine actor, voice actor, and author, primarily known for portraying suave, often aristocratic, or villainous characters on screen for decades. Raised in England, he moved to Germany in 1969 to study acting in Munich and quickly became a prominent figure in German film and television, with numerous appearances in iconic crime series like Derrick and Der Alte. Internationally, he is recognized for his role as the Hungarian businessman Sandor Szavost in Stanley Kubrick's final film, Eyes Wide Shut (1999), and for playing one of the Nazi killers in the 1978 film The Boys from Brazil. Du Mont brilliantly satirized his sophisticated image in several of Germany's most successful comedies, notably as the charismatic bandit "Santa Maria" in Michael Bully Herbig's monumental hit Der Schuh des Manitu (Manitou's Shoe) (2001), a role he reprised in the spin-off (T)Raumschiff Surprise – Periode 1 (2004) and, more recently, in the 2025 sequel, Das Kanu des Manitu (Manitou's Canoe). Beyond acting, he is known for his extensive voice-over work, including narrating the German dub of the children's series Thomas & Friends.
