Sophie Belinda Turner, born on February 21, 1996, is an English actress. She is widely known for her breakout role as Sansa Stark in the HBO fantasy television series Game of Thrones (2011–2019), a performance that earned her a Primetime Emmy Award nomination.Her career began at age 14 when she was cast in Game of Thrones, her first television role. Following the show's massive success, she transitioned to film, starring as the lead in the psychological thriller Another Me (2013) and as a young Jean Grey in the X-Men film series, including X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) and Dark Phoenix (2019).In her personal life, Turner was married to singer Joe Jonas from 2019 to 2024, and they have two daughters together. Following their divorce, she has stated she prefers living in her native England to be closer to her friends and family.Most recently, Turner starred in the 2025 thriller film Trust as Lauren Lane. She is also slated to appear in the upcoming gothic horror film The Dreadful, where she will be reunited with her Game of Thrones co-star Kit Harington.
