Sriya Reddy is an Indian actress, television presenter, and video jockey who primarily works in Tamil and Telugu cinema. Born on November 28, 1983, in Chennai, she is the daughter of Bharath Reddy, a former Indian Test cricketer. Before venturing into acting, Sriya had a successful career as a video jockey (VJ) for the music channel SS Music, where she gained popularity among young viewers for her hosting of shows like "Connect" and "Phonetastic."She made her acting debut in the 2002 film Samurai. However, she gained significant recognition for her powerful and unconventional roles, particularly in Thimiru (2006) and the critically acclaimed Kanchivaram (2008), for which she received a Filmfare Award nomination. In 2008, she married actor-producer Vikram Krishna, the brother of actor Vishal. Following her marriage, she took a break from acting and was involved in producing films with her husband.After a hiatus of several years, she made a comeback with the film Sila Samayangalil (2018) and has since appeared in notable roles in the Telugu blockbuster Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire (2023) and the web series Suzhal: The Vortex (2022). She is also part of the cast of the 2025 film They Call Him OG.
