Steffi Thake is an award-winning Maltese actress born in 1990 whose career spans international cinema, television, and the stage. Standing at 5'10", she began her professional journey in her home country of Malta, where she achieved a Grade 7 in Individual Acting Skills from Trinity College London and won Best Actress at the Annual One Act Festival in 2013. Seeking to expand her horizons, she relocated to the United Kingdom to train at prestigious institutions, completing the Introduction to Screen Acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) and attending the Identity School of Acting. Her move to London was a pivotal moment in her career, allowing her to transition from local theater and television into high-profile international productions and genre films. In the realm of film, Thake is perhaps best known for her intense lead performance as Maria in the 2022 psychological horror-thriller Machination, which showcased her ability to anchor a complex narrative centered on mental health and isolation. Her versatility is further evidenced by her appearances in large-scale action films, including Michael Bay’s 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, where she played the Chief’s Assistant, and the 2022 film Accident Man: Hitman’s Holiday. She also shared the screen with Russell Crowe in Prizefighter: The Life of Jem Belcher and appeared in the 2024 action-thriller Classified alongside Aaron Eckhart. Beyond her film work, she has remained active in the theater, performing in various Shakespearean plays such as As You Like It and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, while also lending her voice to various commercial and narrative voiceover projects.
