Stephen Jones
Stephen Jones is an Irish actor, writer, and director from Tallaght, Dublin, known for his work in theatre, film, and television in both Ireland and the UK. He is also a playwright, with his play "From Eden" winning the Stewart Parker Trust / BBC Northern Ireland Radio Drama Award and his TV series "Northern Lights" receiving an IFTA Nomination for Best Drama Script.As an actor, Jones has an extensive list of credits. His film appearances include "Dublin Oldschool" (which he also co-wrote), "Flora and Son" (2023), "The Queen v Patrick O'Donnell" (2021), and the upcoming "Hallow Road" (2025), where he plays a detective. On television, he has featured in popular series like "Kin" (as Noel Lawlor), "Northern Lights" (as Lloyd), "Red Rock" (as Laser Byrne), "Love/Hate" (as Brian), "Harry Wild," "Bad Sisters," "Bodkin," and "The Diplomat." He has also held roles in "Into the Badlands," "Nowhere Fast," and "Damo and Ivor."Jones has a B.A. in English and History and an M.A. in Creative Writing from University College Dublin. He is a stroke survivor, having experienced a small ischemic stroke in July 2024, but thankfully, it has not affected his ability to write or perform. Beyond his professional work, Jones is an avid sports fan and a season ticket holder at Shamrock Rovers.
