Stephen Ure is an Australian actor and director, born on March 28, 1958, in St Leonards, Sydney, New South Wales. He has built a notable career, often recognized for his work as a "creature actor" in fantasy films, particularly those directed by Peter Jackson. His most prominent roles include playing the Orcs Grishnakh in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) and Gorbag in The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003), as well as Orcs Fimbul and Grinnah in The Hobbit trilogy. Beyond his work in Middle-earth, Ure has appeared in other fantasy and horror productions such as The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005), Deathgasm (2015), and the television series Ash vs Evil Dead (2016).
